Configure your new thebat.net account in The Bat!

  1. Please open your web browser and type www.thebat.net in the address line.
  2. You will be prompted to sign in to your account at thebat.net.
  3. In the username field, type the same login name and password that you have used for www.ritlabs.com.
  4. Do NOT append @thebat.net prefix to your login here.
  5. Press "Sign in" button.


  6. After the very first login to your thebat.net account, you will get the initial setup screen.
  7. Your account is not actually created unless you finish this setup screen.
  8. Here you can select the language to display the Terms of Service. Please note that this language selection will only affect the display of the Terms of Service.
  9. You will also need to type the characters that you see in the picture.
  10. Review the Terms of Service, Program Policy and Privacy Policy before clicking "I accept" button.
  11. Click the button "I accept. Create my account."


  12. Click "Settings" link in the top right of the screen. Settings page will open.
  13. Click "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
  14. Select "Enable POP for all mail".
  15. Select "Enable IMAP".
  16. Click "Save Changes" button.


  17. You will see the message "Your preferences have been saved".


  18. Now you will be able to close your browser and get your mail with The Bat! program.
