Gmail send/SMTP not working, but can POP incoming. Error 5.5.1. SMTP settings inside

I cannot get The Bat to Send out through Gmail, even though it POPs incoming just fine.

When I click Send I get:

Server reports error. The response is: 5.5.1

I have it set to:
smtp.gmail.com
Secure to regular port (STARTTLS)
Port 587
UNCHECKED use SMTP servers On-the-Go
Authentication: UNCHECKED Perform SMTP Authentication

Try CHECKING that and select "use the same password" option. That is the way I am set up and am not having issues with Gmail
i hope that helps!  :)

Thanks Rick, yes that worked! :D I sent a test message, "test bat" to myself at another account that forwards to Gmail. It went out, I POP'd it to In with my old Eudora. But now, checking Gmail with The Bat, it's not getting that message or any of today's other 15 emails. In fact, even in Gmail on the web my test message doesn't show! No clue how Eudora picked it up then...

BUT, my Gmail's been funky and I tweaked it this morning. Long story sort of, worthy of a different thread I'll post later today.
