Really great support for a paid version

What additional informations are needed? Other software developers may be more helpful and willing to fix problems. I'm sure, that the problems with gpgv2 are not only configuration problems - I belive, it's an error of The Bat itself because of incomplete support.

So many people (especially on Linux) are using gpg - Windows users with The Bat can't use it (at least not gpgv2).

If someone has a working configuration, please share it
i have the same problem with 5.0.12 home and gpg 2.1.0.

Actually it didn't work with the previous version of gpg and the bat either. i think that did break somewhere after the 5.x upgrade.
Hello,

it seems that The Bat 5.0.12 doesn?t work together with Gpg4win2.1.0. In the standard installation I can?t bring it to work.

The Tip of „Seba Med“ renaming the gpg2.exe into gpg.exe, is helpful, but solve the problem partially. It seems to be that just the sing function works, the rest crashes.

The result of the test I am attaching at the message.
Is there a workaround for OpenPGP available?

Thanks for some tips

Result with gpg2.exe
nothing works well, I have to close a popping up cmd window:

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Sign Block
OpenPGP Error
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan
gpgwrap: executing `C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG\gpg2.exe' failed: No error

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Sign Entire Text
OpenPGP Error
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan
gpgwrap: executing `C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG\gpg2.exe' failed: No error

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Encrypt Entire Text
OpenPGP Error
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan

random usage: poolsize=600 mixed=0 polls=0/0 added=0/0
             outmix=0 getlvl1=0/0 getlvl2=0/0
secmem usage: 0/32768 bytes in 0 blocks

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Sign & Encrypt Entire Text
OpenPGP Error
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan

random usage: poolsize=600 mixed=0 polls=0/1 added=20/284
             outmix=0 getlvl1=0/0 getlvl2=0/0
secmem usage: 1600/32768 bytes in 4 blocks

After copy and renaming from: gpg2.exe into gpg.exe
I will get following results:

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Sign Block
Warning
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan
random usage: poolsize=600 mixed=1 polls=0/3 added=58/716
             outmix=0 getlvl1=0/0 getlvl2=0/0
secmem usage: 1600/32768 bytes in 4 blocks

„The PGP Signature appears in the Message“

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Sign Entire Text
Warning
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan
random usage: poolsize=600 mixed=1 polls=0/3 added=58/716
             outmix=0 getlvl1=0/0 getlvl2=0/0
secmem usage: 1600/32768 bytes in 4 blocks

„The PGP Signature appears in the Message“

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Encrypt Entire Text
OpenPGP Error
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan

random usage: poolsize=600 mixed=0 polls=0/0 added=0/0
             outmix=0 getlvl1=0/0 getlvl2=0/0
secmem usage: 0/32768 bytes in 0 blocks

PRIVACY/OpenPGP/Sign & Encrypt Entire Text
OpenPGP Error
gpg: enabled debug flags: memstat trust extprog assuan

random usage: poolsize=600 mixed=0 polls=0/1 added=20/284
             outmix=0 getlvl1=0/0 getlvl2=0/0
secmem usage: 1600/32768 bytes in 4 blocks

---------------------
Vista64 Ultimate, / The Bat 5.0.12, / Gpg4win 2.1.0, / Kleopatra 2.1.0
<noindex>http://www.gpg4win.de</noindex>

GPG2

GPG2 in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
It seems with version 5.x there are still problems with GPG2...

I've installed Gpg4win 2.1.0 and configured The Bat 5.0.8 to use GPG, but this doesn't work well. When I want to sign an outgoing email, the GPG passwort window opens, I enter my password and afterwards, only a blank cmd window opens (no error, no text...). When I close the window manually, I receive the message

gpgwrap: executing "C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG\gpg2.exe' failed: No error

When I rename gpg2.exe to gpg.exe it seems that all works fine. But, when The Bat detect GPGv2 correctly, why it is not possible to get The Bat working with GPGv2?

Can the correct function og GPG ensured if gpg2.exe gets renamed? It is also a bit confusing for users if they must manually rename existing files...

Is this a configuration error or an existing bug?

Thanks.
