I've got an answer from support, that this issue will be fixed in the next version.

Just in case someone has the same problem.

Hello,

i had the problem sometimes with 5.0.12 and more often with 5.0.14:

Even if i have read all new messages, the mailticker still shows unread messages. Double clicking the mailticker it opens the (already read) message(s).

I need to shutdown TheBat and reopen it, to make the mailticker disappear.
