In the meantime I've

- IMAP Fine/Tune ... when online, refresh counters every 2 minutes ... selected

and the new received emails will be shown on a regular basis.

But is this the "real" solution or is it a bug?
Hi,

I've setup an IMAP account (Gmail) and sent an e-mail to my account.

On GMail Web GUI the Inbox shows the e-mail but in The Bat no upd ate happens (now 33 minutes ago)

*** (important) Account properties ***

* Mail-Management *
- Connect to the Server / when the account is selected ... is selected)
- IMAP Fine/Tune ... when online, refresh counters every 2 minutes ... is NOT selected ... btw: What does this mean?
- Message download preferences ... nothing selected .. although there is a box "download during periodical checks"

* Options*
- Check mailbox at startup: Yes
- Periodical checking each: 3 min
- Ignore "check all accounts" request ... not selected

In Manage IMAP folders all Download Modes are "Default".

10:30 Bat shows the last log entry at the bottom (and all is ok)
10:38 I've sent the e-mail to my IMAP account at 10:38.
10:39 Google Web GUI shows the e-mail in the Inbox

In Bat! (5.0.18) I've the focus on a label (sub-folder) or on the account itself.

11:10 No update & e-mail in the Inbox of The Bat!
11:11 Press "Get new mail" ... no update

11:20 Se t the focus / selected Inbox in Bat! ... Update happens - now e-mail is visible

So why not during GET NEW MAIL or PERIODICAL CHECKING? Does this not work for IMAP accounts?

---

When I test it during the startup of Bat!, (I've the focus on "Trash" and closed/started Bat), then the account will be checked and the e-mail will be shown - but only in "All Mail" - not in the "Inbox". When I select the "All Mail" folder then the e-mail will be shown in "Inbox" too.

Any idea how to get a periodical check working - without have the focus on the Inbox (or any other box/label/folder)?

Thanks a lot,
Robert
