The gmail/all behaviour is by design, gmail's design, that's different from regular pop3 servers. Basically you could say that gmail isn't a pop3 server, but a webmail server that offers a pop3 interface.
There are more differences between the gmail interface and regular pop3 servers. When you tell your pop3 client to keep the mail on the server, then another pop3 client can download it too when you're using a regular pop3 server. That's another thing that won't work with gmail.

Gmail acts better as an imap server than as a pop3 server, but it's at its best as a webmail server.
Hi,

I'm moving an email from an IMAP/Inbox (gmail.com) to an POP/Inbox.

The email in the IMAP/Inbox is removed.
The email in the POP/Inbox is there.

But the email is still in IMAP/Gmail/All (and also - if - in IMAP/Gmail/Important).

Why?

Is this is a bug or by design (Bat or Gmail or IMAP)?

Because when I move an email away from the account it's the same if I would copy/delete it. When I delete it from the Inbox it's in the Trash.

Maybe someone could explain it to me because in the meantime I've the same emails two times and have to sort them out manually between the accounts.

THANKS A LOT
Robert
