Problem opening pdf attachment pdf attachments appear corrupted in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
In most cases like this the Mac doesn't an attachment with an extension, that's why I asked.
The most common solution is to save the file (add an extension when necessary) and open it via the explorer.
Thanks

I am not saying it is TB's fault - just asking why this happened.

It had a standard pdf extension. I know it was sent by a MAC since he told me. I have seen other cases of this happening on the web but no one with a solution.
TB doesn't view pdf's by itself, it merely hands them off to the OS.
Did the pdf have an extension as sent by the mac?
I received a pdf attachment today and could not open it saying it was an unrecognised format. Tried four other readers and also another computer. Asked the sender to re-send but no difference. He was sending fr om a Mac.

Normally I do not have problems opening pdf's.

On a whim I forward it to the office (they use PC's and Outlook) and were able to view it without problem, so asked them to save it as another name and send it back to me, wh ereupon it opened without problem.

Can anyone explain what the problems is here please?

Using XP sp3.

Regards

David
