Error during message import...

Error during message import... just sits there in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
This sounds very much like the sort of problem encountered when an overzealous anti-virus software (like Norton AV) locks an infected downloaded message file before it can be imported. That locking action causes TB to stop in its tracks.

If this is the case, you have two choices here:

1) Use the message dispatcher (dispatch mail on server) function to examine the waiting messages and clear the infected message that way.

2) Disable the AV software and sneak in a mail run.

Error during message import... just sits there in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I am an early user of The Bat! and use "personal edition" 2.12 - I am posting here because it seems the forums don't have dedicated assistance for users of the Bat! prior to v3 (which I find distasteful having used the Bat! for several years now...)

Anyway - something just cropped up that I have not experienced before and I was wondering if someone could shed some light on what was happening. I have several Email accounts programmed into my Bat! Most of them are on the same POP3 server but there are also a couple on outside servers. All of them are working perfectly except one... when it connects to the POP3 server and downloads the headers for all of the available store messages - it just hangs when it comes the the phase "importing messages" and it goes nowhere from that point. I have checked my DB and it does not indicate any problems - I CAN check that POP3 mailbox with another 'web client' without issues - so I am lost as to why this is happening?

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

-Dirk
