Setting Default Account for sending Mail

Setting Default Account for sending Mail Where is the active account button in TB 3.0 in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
No. When you create a new message TB will always pick the settings for the selected folder (or the selected account when you're folder doesn't have folder specific settings)

However, there is something you can do that has the same effect.
Create a new quick template (QT), set it such as you'd like your new message template to be and use the %Account= macro to set the template to use the account you prefer.
Set the options for the QT to be used as a new message template and set Ctrl+N as assigned shortcut.

Now you're halfway, the only thing left is to get rid of the default Ctrl+N shortcuts.
View -> Toolbars -> Customise
You'll find the Ctrl+N shortcut being defined in:
Container=Main Form -> Main menu -> Message -> New
and
Container=Main Form -> Message List pop-up menu -> New
Delete the Ctrl+N shortcut from both menus and you're done
Create a new message and you can pick the account you're using with the menu (of the edit screen):
options -> active account
or via the staus bar at the bottom, you'll see the active account mentioned, click on it and you can change it.

Another way to pick the account is with the %Account= macro in your templates, when you've got a group of contacts you want to address with one account, just add them to one address book group and create group templates for that group (via the group properties) that all contain the %Account= macro.
