Error message on sending mail in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
After following the support article on InMotion web page my problem was solved for sending emails.
You have to setup the smpt server to connect without authentication:
Properties > Transport > SMTP server under [Authentication] remove the check-mark from [Require secure authentication].
For a very strange reason this is an issue for TheBat only.
Rick,

I don't, my ISP support said that OpenSRS didn't get back to them, but my TB works now..

BUT as others who have had the problem mention OpenSRS or hostedemail.com being involved or bein their eventual ISP thought they could try and see of outbound SMTP is fixed..
The answer is in nslookup

Answer section:
MX-record for uk2.net:
 Preference = 0
 Mail server = mx.uk2.net.cust.a.hostedemail.com
 TTL = 300 (5 minutes)

hostedemail.com is OpenSRS which is the same place we have our email hosted. You need to get the server people to open a ticket with openSRS and push them to fix it. This is not a Ritlabs problem IMHO.

Barry
It's strange as it's only The Bat that gives the problem. Other email clients that I've configured to test have worked with no problems what so ever.

My main isp is Eclipse but we have a club account with UK2.net and that's the one giving the problems connecting to for sending mail.
Have spent hours trying to sort this out but have to admit defeat and use something else for this account, not really what I wanted but needs must.
Well so far Ritlabs support blame my ISP I am forced to use a different mail client, that works perfectly.. We seem to have come to an impass here..
Odd that only The Bat! has the SMTP send problem...
Same here guys, definitely not checked. I have as mentioned tried on different OS's and with different ISP's.
Same error message.

Can I downgrade TB to a previous version and see if it is a version specific bug ? as TB has been working (with the varied OS's) and via lots of ISP's for years..
Not knowing your ISP - try changing the CONNECTION setting and see if that works. Mine are all set to "Regular" except for Google which uses "Secure to a regular port" (StarTLS) Check the port numbers etc. Make sure you are using correct authentication settings

Marck is an expert, so if he over rides what I just said, listen to him, not me
You could try to enable or disable 'require secure authentication' at account -> prperties -> transport -> (smtp) authentication
That's just a guess, in case that doesn't help you could start with a pointer to the ISP you're trying to connect.
