How to make The Bat Auto resize columns in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
For the first issue go to OPTIONS / PREFERENCES / VIEW MODES
Create a new on fr om one of the stock ones ( I made one called My threaded, but whatever)
Get it pretty much the way you want it
THEN
Go to a folder, right click it and choose FOLDER VIEW mode. Pick the one you just made and adjust the columns the way you want them. When you leave that folder it will ask you if you want to save the changes
You can get to the view modes via VIEW and GLOBAL VIEW MODES. You can set a global view mode but I would strongly suggest you do NOT do that as you will be stuck with whatever you do in ALL folders and that does not work out well - trust me
When you get it about the way you want, RIGHT CLICK on the folder again and choose COPY COLUMN SETTINGS TO ... and pick the folders wh ere you want that setup (You can always make another view mode for other folders if you wish
I hope that helps
It seems that you have to resize columns (from, to subject, date etc.) manually for EACH folder . now I have 14 email accounts and several folders each, I don't want to manually readjust column widths hundred times. is there a global configuarion as template so it affects all the folders?

Also second problem is after settging width to the colmns and i resize the Program window the columns do not fit the program window size and it creates horizontal scroller. is there a way to auto resize columns wiht program window.
