Attachments button problem Can't add Attachments with attachment button in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I have this problem too. I lost my normal file type dialogue and when I choose Utilities:Attach Files all I get is a long list of file types (with the last *.zip being offered by default). But if you choose any of those file types (e.g. *.zip) and navigate to a folder that definitely contains files of that type, none are shown.

Part of the problem is that the "Any file(*.*)" option is completely missing from the list. A n option for simply *.* does exist but also displays no files whatsoever in any folders that are definitely full of files.

I am using The Bat 2.12 and had used it for a very long time without problems before this started happening. I tried upgrading to the v3.6 trial, but this suffers the same problem.

Any ideas what the problem might be?
I have browsed lots of folders in *.* mode but it never shows any file whatsoever... :-(
Yes, your system knows a vast number of file types, as does mine. But "Any file (*.*)", the default, will certainly show all files in the selected folders for me. If you have any part-type filename, that may restrict the matches available. Also hidden files may not be shown.

There are no settings in TB that can be hiding the files you're looking for. My first instinct would be to generally browse around to other folders in *.* mode to see if there is any common denominator in which files are shown and not shown by the attachment browser.
With a long 'file ext list' I meant the file type mask you get with the browse to dialogue, ie jpg, gif etc, my list is ridiculously long with what i think is any file extension possible.

And yes I can change it to *.* but even then it doesnt show any files in any folder I select even though I am 100% sure there are files in that particular folder.

What do you mean with a long 'file ext list'?

What have you got selected at the file-types, can you change that to *.* ?

Attachments button problem Can't add Attachments with attachment button in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Since recently I cannot add attachments by clicking the attachment button, it gives me the usual 'browse to file' windows dialogue but I get an absurd long file ext list and then no possible file shows up in the list so I cannot select any file to add. (ie JPG or GIF) I know I can add files to a msg by dragging them on the msg but I want my button to work again as it did and should. I already emailed ritlabs about this weeks ago, but didnt get any reply at all. Does anybody know if this is fixable? (already tried re-installing).
