What is On the Fly Encryption

What is On the Fly Encryption in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Rick has covered it.
With OTFE, the message base, the address book and even the notes you create with smartbat are encrypted and can't be read without providing TB with the master password you used with the install.
When you're using a shared computer and you don't care for the others to be able to read your mail, OTFE is a nice feature.
When using OTFE it's very important to create regular backups. During the years that I used OTFE I've never lost any messages due to corruption, but the forum has several examples of people that had a setup going awry. In that case a recent backup is the only solution. The backups you create with an OTFE setup default to unencrypted, but there is an option to encrypt those too.
You may get a more detailed response but here is mine for starters: You can encrypt your database with OTF encryption. Pro also gives you a license for Voyager so you can carry your mail on a USB stick (or whatever) You CANNOT use Voyager without the encryption
Don't forget your password or you are out of luck. Also if the database goes corrupt there may be little chance of recovery. Unless you are dealing with VERY sensitive stuff I would think twice about it. Just one opinion
As title says, what is this feature do? I don't really understand what it encrypts and how and how can it benefit the user.
I am deciding between Home and Pro versions and this feature stands on my way.

Also what is considered "business" usage. as description says for Home edition it can not be used for business purposes. Can you give me an example of business use?

thank you in advance.
