....I found a fix......

Back up all accounts except global options.

Complete uninstall of the bat, including reg and data files.

reinstall and restore from backup.

search and filters now works properly.

I just upgraded to V7 from V4.2 and now have this exact problem. I have a trouble ticket in and it has not resolved the issue, no display of found messages. I can't believe this is a bug in the program since V5. Anyone have a fix?

That's clearly The Bat's bug.

I found a workaround though.
Go to:
Options - Preferences - Message List - View Modes
Find "This week" mode.
Click:
Edit - Filter
Remove "Use Filter" checkbox.

I also often have this bug. Click on the "option" tab and then come back to the "results" tab.

Normally results will be now visible

If I pull up Message Finder and search for messages, it finds the messages, but won't show them in the Results tab. See the following screenshot:

You can see at the bottom that it found 9 messages, but none of them are showing. Do I have a filter inadvertently set somewhere that is hiding these messages, or something? This is on TheBat Voyager, 5.0.32.1 on Windows 7. This was working previously, so not sure what happened.
