I tried to uninstall it, remove the external hard drive and re-install - but the installation doesn't work without the disc attached to the USB port ...

What is your mail directory?
Options -> Preferences -> System -> Mail directory

I installed The Bat! 6.2.4 on my new computer, and I connected the old hard disc from the old laptop to a USB port to transfer the old messages. Now, if I disconnect the externally connected drive, The Bat! doesn't start at all ... I checked and all mail folders are on pointing to the new laptop's drive c:, so I don't understand what is the problem ...
