Do you want to use both clients at the same time? In that case it might be better to have one of them configured in server mode.

But why don't you configure your account as IMAP? IIRC MDaemon supports that.

On a network using MDaemon as the mail server, I want to set up two email clients on separate workstations with the ability to share all email messages. The messages would be downloaded from MDaemon.

If I use TB as the email clients, can I use just a shared network drive or folder for the shared mailboxes, or do I need to manage the shared mailboxes with a third copy of TB running in server mode?

What is the best configuration to use?
