Open a message go to view / message list and hide and it will go away

Thanks.  In other programs I don't want the preview panel visible and I am used to opening the emails by clicking on "previous" or "next" to get through them quickly.  I guess it's just something I will have to get used to.

I never noticed that.  It could be a little distracting maybe there's a setting but since I don't reply with a double click I'm not sure.

FWIW, I use the Reply button on the toolbar.

I must be doing something wrong because in every other email program I have ever used, there is a panel that has the Inbox, one for the preview panel, and then when you double click on a message, it opens in its own window.  In The Bat, when I double click on a message, it opens a duplicate of the inbox with the preview panel.  Is there a way to just have the one message open and not show the inbox?  Thanks for any suggestions.
