Yes but it must be done by making a filter. Go to ACCOUNT / Sorting Office and FIlter
Then create one with a name that makes sense to you and set it for ANY MESSAGE and on the bottom have it export to the folder
Pick the folder and how you want it to behave. Go to the second tab on th filter page and set it to run with a hotkey. I have mine set to export and serialize but it will pile them all up into one file for searching
Make a test run and adjust as needed

Hi

I wonder if there is a trick to export e.g. 500 mails in a certain folder
to a plain text file.

Reason: I use special tool to extract all email-adresses from this text file.
