I'd already looked there, but your response prompted me to look a little deeper...

I realised that I should have mentioned in the original post that I'm using the "show as button" option for displaying attachments. I went back and noticed that there's an option at the bottom of that sub-menu to "set default action".

I changed that to "open" and now all is well.

I've only recently returned to using TheBat as my primary e-mailer having spent the past few years in Outlook-land. Once they fix the gmail contacts import bug I'll be even happier!

Does anyone know of a way to configure TheBat to open pdfs (or any other attachment for that matter) as the default rather that saving?
