Yes, that's correct. I can import into the two version 4 Voyagers that I've tried and I can import into Thunderbird, but I cannot import into the version 5 or 6 Voyagers that I've tried.

I became so frustrated that I've been using Thunderbird for the last two weeks, but I'm discovering its limitations and really want to solve this problem with The Bat.
Do you mean that Voyager 4.2.9.3 did import that LDIF correctly, but the Voyager 6.7.5.1 doesn't?

Updating address book fromVoygager version 4 to 6 Can't import LDIF file if it contains address information in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I've been using The Bat for 12 years, since 2003, and I've just paid for an upgrade to version 6 of Voyager/The Bat Professional, but if I can't solve this problem quickly I'll need to switch to a different email client.

I've been using Voyager 4.2.9.3 as my email client. Last month I purchased an upgrade to version 6.7.5.1 and restored from a backup. The problem is that my address book did not restore correctly. I was not able to restore either by using LDIF imports from my old version or by restoring from a backup. I can import the old address book by other methods, but they don't preserve my email groups, which are absolutely essential to me.

I thought the problem might be that I skipped a version by going from version 4 to 6, so I downloaded Voyager 5.8.3, but I have the exact same problem.

However I am able to import the full address book using Voyager 4.2.38.7. Even more strangely I can import the full address book with groups into Thunderbird even though I can't import it into version 6 of Voyager or The Bat Professional!

I thought a solution might be to export an LDIF from Thunderbird and import it into Voyager, but when I tried, Voyager gave me an error.

What else can I try? I've spent a huge amount of time on this. I no longer care about the addresses or other personal information about my contacts. I've transferred all that information to Handy Address Book. But I do need the email addresses and groups from my LDIF file.

Thunderbird now has my full address book with all the groups, so it makes sense to switch to that, but after 12 years with the Bat and having just paid for an upgrade for The Bat, I'm not anxious to switch. I really like the flexibility of The Bat, despite its lack of user friendliness. I can't believe I'm the first person who's had problems upgrading from version 4. I contacted customer support last week but haven't yet received a useful response.
