I've been struggling with setting up TB (trying to move from Eudora) and I've been using AVAST for spam filtering. I'm fairly happy with it, but was hoping that I could mark spam that it didn't catch and also to ONE CLICK move spam into the junk folder. I tried right clicking on a message, searched all the tool bar buttons -- what am I missing?
In the past year (I do not know as of now) I tested TrustPort Internet Security and antispam there was the correct one. Growing up in the dollar ruble canceled my migration with Kaspersky on TrustPort. I recommend to try the trial version. There and BAV-plugin was just like old times. Kaspersky sucks!
Hi!

I have had this problem with Kaspersky and oooold Eudora for many months now. But currently testing The Bat since a few days, I noticed that Kaspersky got the trojans downloaded by The Bat, and not by Eudora at the same time. So I had to scan to get those trojans afterwards.

I am wondering about The Bat warning to open attachments, telling me to save them to the disc and scan them first. But they are already saved to the disc as I have chosen the option to put attachments in a normal folder in My Documents.

How to know when the AV scans attachments? I can't really perform this procedure of manually scanning all files I get every day from trusted senders.

Kind regards
Eva
The Bat! Professional Edition
Version 6.7.20 (64-bit)

Alex from Ritlabs replied to an email from me and said that Kaspersky is handling email and spam, in the Bat!, and maybe others.

"If" this is so, then Kaspersky sucks at it's intended job.

I routinely get spam email which contains attachments. Later in the day "if" Kaspersky does a scan, THEN I get notice of Virus.

Also, I get a lot of "spam".

Previously I could tag any email as "Spam", inside the Bat! email program, by right-click and select "Mark as Junk" .

Now, with no "The Bat!" plugin, I can not mark known spam as such.

When I had Kaspersky Pure 3,0 running, I could mark any email as Spam.

However, even when the Kas version was Kaspersky Pure 3.0 running, if an attachment came in which was Virus, only later in the day, during scan, did Kaspersky tell me it found a Trojan/Virus.

I am currently using Kaspersky 'Total Security 15 ...'

Anyone able to tell me what I am doing wrong in configuration?
