No From in new email

No From in new email in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Thanks Rick but when I've done that I still can't send the email. No messages from TB either.

Normally, when I compose an email the From has my email address and down in the status bar of the compose window it shows the account name. As and example, if I compose an email and sel ect <noindex>larry@tbat.com</noindex> (made up email address) in the From area at the bottom the name "TheBat" would show. If I want to change the From I can also sel ect a new address from the status bar by left clicking and selecting one of my accounts.

If I click on an email address shown in an email, say <noindex>notwork@tbat.com</noindex> the compose window opens with no Fr om default email address and nothing showing in the status bar. If is change the Fr om to <noindex>larry@tbat.com</noindex> there is still no status bar account shown. In this situation I can't send the email. There are workarounds but it seems strange that a compose will open that won't actually send the email.

I hope that's clear.
Right click on the area that has TO:, CC: etc and choose the field you want to show I believe FROM and BCC are hidden by default
Thanks Rick, but I meant if an email I'm reading in The Bat has an email address in the text the compose opens with no From. TB works great for default emails in web browser.
Highlight the account you want to open emails. Then open Properties / general and about 3/4 of the way down you will see a check box to make it the default for mailto: addresses
When I click on an email address in an email (to Reply, etc) the compose box opens and I have to sel ect the From account and then subject, etc.

However I'm unable to send although it has a valid From address and the only way it will send is if I go to Options in the compose box and sel ect an account.

I noticed that although there is a From, the account name is not listed in the status bar of the compose but does show up when I select the Fr om account fr om Options.

Bug or by design?
