Sorry if I'm late to the party, but I would suggest to switch to TLS variants of respective protocols, if you are not using them yet.
These are usually more robust and are easier to oversee from client side.
Thanks, Rick. I'll start playing with firewall / virus scanners. Will update when I figure it out.
First - I am on Brighthouse / Time Warner and definitely expect LESS
I had a similar issue
Start turning off firewalls and virus scanners and see if the culprit is there. You may have to add a connection rule
I had an issue with Malwarebytes even after several reboots. I shut it off, on, tested it and everything suddenly worked., Turned it back on and everything was still working working
Try turning stuff off and if that is not the issue post back here
I'm running The Bat 7.0.0.56, 64-bit. I've run into trouble recently sending emails. Sometimes they send correctly, sometimes they don't. Sometimes it'll take 6 or 8 tries to succeed in sending, but it does eventually work.

I suspect it's started after installing v7, but I'm not 100% positive when the trouble started. Here's what I get in the log when it fails.

!9/9/2015, 15:14:50: FETCH - Connection to host broken (last commands sent were: "EHLO [192.168.0.105]", "MAIL FROM:<<noindex>doug@LynxDGS.com</noindex>>")

!9/9/2015, 15:14:50: FETCH - Connection to host broken (last commands sent were: "MAIL FROM:<<noindex>doug@LynxDGS.com</noindex>>", "RSET")

Has anyone else run into a similar problem? Any suggestions? I'm using Time Warner as my SMTP server. I've been doing that for 2 1/2 months, now, and it used to work correctly.
