No, it won't influence the account settings. However when you're using %account="account2" in the templates for account1 TB will use account2 to send the message. And so the pop before smtp of account2 will be used as that is the setting for account2.
thanks Roelof, but it's still not clear for me.
If I use %Account= macro as you suggest, can I this way use settings for 'POP before SMTP' different than the settings for pop3 specified for the same account?

Using smtp/pop servers from different domains in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hi,

I have a bit strange configuration, I use a pop3 server from domain1 to retrieve mail and an smtp server from domain2 to send mail.
The reason is domain1 IP is likely known as a spam IP, many emails just don't reach the recipient if sent through the domain1 smtp - so I have to use domain2 smtp server.

I want to have domain1 pop and domain2 smtp in one account - but domain2 smtp uses 'POP before SMTP' authentication, and the domain1 authentication simply can't be made the same as domain2 authentication.
Although I set specific settings to be used for smtp, if 'POP before SMTP' is checked TB seems to use the POP settings to authenticate.
Can I use different settings (not the ones specified for the pop3 server for the same TB account) for 'POP before SMTP' authentication ?

Thanks
