Are you using IMAP or leaving POP mails on the server?
If IMAP, close the Bat then Go to your mail folder, open the offending account folder. You will see an IMAP folder. Go into that and delete everything. You can find your mail folder with the bat open my highlighting the account and picking the INFORMATION tab and launching from there. Still close the bat once the mail directory is open

If you have drefts you will lose them

Start up the Bat and it will download everything again. Then start watching for the same behavior. It it is gone - great If not, report back her and post it if you are leaving POP messages on the server for x days or some other similar configuration

Hi
I got a problem with thebat im not sure what i done. But after reinstaling windows i did reinstall clinet.
The problem i got is that when i force him to check and download new emails it start everything from scratch. So instead 25k emails i gonw 100k plus now. All above 25k are copies/duplicats
What can i do? Can you help me with that one pls
