The ticker is always visible when there are eligible unread mails. That's its purpose and design.

Here, I use it to indicate any unread mail. As soon as there are no eligible message, it auto-hides. That's what it should do. That's what it does. You just need to fine tune your settings .
Marck Pearlstone thanks for the age tip, now i know how to show new mails but the ticker is still VISIBLE!

No matter what i choose (automatically or always) the ticker is visible! ....and when i select "hide" it is hidden forever! ...i mean it doesn't POPUP when new mail arrives.

what is the difference between show "automatically" and "always" ?

I don't want to have the ticker visible all the time i just want to have it hidden and should popup when new mails arrive... well that's what "automatically" should do right ?
You can set an age limit for messages so that only messages of a certain age are shown (ergo "new" messages).

You can specify that only certain folders contribute to the ticker (so that unread messages filtered to other folders are not shown).

That should help.
Using TB 3.01 i have set mail ticker "automatically" so it means it should popup when new mail arrives right ?...but it doesn't.

Both "Automatically" and "always" options makes the mail ticker always visible.

I want to pop the HIDDEN ticker when new mail arrives.

anyone ?
