I didn't have any trouble nor have I heard of others having trouble moving to the 64 bit version
Zip Up ypur Database and install v7  and see of it is all to your satisfaction Your templates and filters should all work
One thing - I v5 (if I remember correctly) they changed the database. All works well but you cannot go backwards from that point, hence, make a copy of your mail directory in case something goes horribly wrong ... but it really shouldn't

I am using 4.2.44 with no trouble on a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machine. In the past (versions 1 through 4), upgrading was as simple as installing over the previous version. I did not lose my customizations, and all went smoothly. Now there is a large gap between the versions and I am concerned about changes in file format, retaining all my settings, filters customizations, etc. Should I continue with the 32 bit version or go for the 64 bit version?

How should I proceed?
