Heard back from technical support.

1. They have acknowledged the bug and will work on it.
2. They suggested the following which fixed my Address book:

Please try to open the mail data folder (via the "Information" tab below the message list), then close The Bat! and rename the file ADDRBOOK.INI into ADDRBOOK_1.INI. After that start The Bat! and try to access the address book.

Just a heads up on v8.8.2 which I think are bugs. I'm in contact with tech support but haven't been able to nail down a fix yet. Maybe someone here has already fixed them?

1. When I upgraded to v8.8.2 a large number of new colored tags showed up. I've managed to hide the new ones but discovered that when trying to assign a tag in Sorting office my custom tags don't show up. Going to Options->Message Tags does show them. My existing filters have retained the custom tags.

2. When opening Address book the contacts are shown on the right but group names are not displayed.  There is a "+" on the left and clicking on that and then in the white space to the right of it will display addresses in those groups but you don't really know what group you're clicking on.  Groups continue to exist and an be seen in the contact properties.

Seems to be display issues rather than lost or corrupted data.

If anyone else has run across this and found a fix can you post it here?
