I think you should make a new Common Folder (in other words: a folder outside of your faculty imap account) and use that for the imported old messages.

How to import old DBX or eventually exported numerous EML files without concurrent IMAP synchronising?

My problem is that I have old DBX before computer crashed a long time ago that I want to import into INBOX but as soon I  start to do it these old messages get synchronised with my faculty email that is 90% full now.

Is there any elegant way how to import these old messages into The Bat without being synchronised?
