It is IMAP, but all IMAP servers are not equal. I can't be more specific because I don't use and I don't know enough about IMAP.

So what is the recommended way of implementing MS Exchange type functionality. I would like to access my email when I am on the road, but need the sent messages and all my email available from wherever I am. Is there a suggested way to set up something like this?

Having seen only the specs of Batpost, I'd say that it should be possible. Keep in mind though that TB's IMAP functions best when you don't allow your folders to grow too large. On a LAN connection that's not much of an issue, but when you're connecting via the internet it is.

Hello,

I have an ISP that hosts my email, which I access using POP3 with The Bat, which I love. However, I am starting to access my email more and more from multiple places, and its getting annoying to keep using PC Anywhere to get my email.

I could set up the ISP to use IMAP, but I get a lot of large attachments and do not want to use my server space there. So here is what I would like to do.

Set up a local server in my office that downloads the mail from the ISP every few minutes. Then, have IMAP mail accounts on that server that I access from the office or my laptop or wherever. Since all the mail is stored on the server hard drive, I don't have to worry about storage space and not deleting emails etc.

Is it possible to use a combination of BatPost and The Bat to do this?
