I got the same problem and got it fixed with a little less hardware acceleration. But I really don't like to need to change my hardware acceleration because of my mail client! Is there to someone's knowledge a "workaround" glyph set available for 3.50 somewhere? Maybe just with transparancy removed for the ugly icons?

Hi,

I set the hardware accelleration down one step, that helped for the address book icons. The icons in connection centre still have a black background though.
I'll try upgrading the graphics driver also.

I've heard it say that this has something to do with your graphics driver. Try to update the driver for your graphics card.
If this doesn't fix the problem, step down the hardware accelleration a little bit.

Hi,

just installed 3.5 and noticed that the icons in the address book and the connection centre have a black background, as if transparency somehow doesn't work.
Looks kinda unpleasant...
With 3.0 all was fine. Any ideas?
