My SecureBatLite 2.12.4 has this problem too. I have reported this months ago and am quite dissapointed to hear that this still hasn't been fixed in this new release. :cry:  This bug is very disturbing ! :evil:

I was ready to purchase an update just to get rid of this   single bug, but now I know that it's still there, I guess I will have to wait another few months ...

You know, it's driving me mad. Sometimes I really consider to go back to my very old 1.38 release, that version has served me perfectly well for yeeaars ...

This enerving bug, I known for Years.  

If there are running tasks, and they keep waiting or running, sometimes You want to reboot the bat.  You get a complaint if You really want to close the bat, because there are running task.  Even You choose 'NO', the program does not shut down at all, and You can use Your process explorer to kill the service with risk of corrupt databases.

Do You recognize this ?
