When shall there be finally an option to store mail in SQL in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
This is not the place for feature requests, those can be added at the wish list, here's a canned response:

You can insert wishes in the wish list, by logging in to:
<noindex>https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php</noindex>
Choose 'The Bat! wishes' and add a new item.
First check whether someone has made the same wish, then you can
support that wish.
Wishes that are supported by more users are more likely to be granted
than wishes by one. And the system isn't smart enough to understand
that wishes might be the same.
And add just one wish per entry. Makes everything easier, both for
other users who want to add support and for the developers.

For years, the bat is still working with a custom databases structure. Until now, there is still corruption, and there is no way to use SQL statements for filtering. You have to work with regex, and they are sometimes buggy.

I would see a SQL Database, and no ritlab thebat database for my mail storage ! I trust SQL, I do not trust the internal database structure, because it 's too often corrupt.
