Cannot change account protocol to IMAP

I'm not sure what assistance you want. You state you cannot set it up as IMAP, but you don't say why not. Are you wanting help in fixing the POP3 account and not switch to IMAP? I don't understand why Gmail would be downloading messages you sent, since POP3 keeps them on your PC, not the server. If you want the account to be IMAP, just create a new account alongside the current account. But that may not be your intent.

david
Hello everybody,
x
I use The Bat with several gmail accounts. All the accounts except one are set to use IMAP4 protocol, except one. In that account the protocol is set to POP3 protocol. For that account, The Bat has stopped downloading messages and since yesterday it has start to download lots of really old messages, both messages I sent and messages I received. This account has about 16 thousand messages in it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as this particular account is my main gmail account.

Thjanks!!
