Therefore you can use it threads by subject and your need it thing will works. Here what need to enable it -

But nor you nor me don't needs only by subject, sad but true. And in threads by subject not working manual threading as I write in last post.

AFAIK, you can't. I need this too (use it Reference+Subject threads mostly). Ask a support about this. More requests, more pressure on vendor for adding new feature.

Now, I do manually such things.
1) You can un-thread any new message from thread: click on that message with shift and drag under last message (empty space)
2) Select all other messages that you need to be threaded with this message and drag with shift on your new "main" message in the thread.

How can I get threads, created via View > Message List Columns, and (1) threaded by References and (2) sorted by Received, so that the newest email in the thread is at the top of the thread rather than at the bottom?

Any help here would be really appreciated: thanks!
