I only vaguely remember making the post now.
So I don't know what I found for the solution.

There seems to be missing information. From what you wrote, the problem sometimes happens, but not all the time. As such, I could not recreate the problem. From my own experience, I occasionally receive email that has HTML that TB! can't process properly (usually from Outlook on an Exchange server). Might that be part of the issue? Possibly capturing the incoming HTML and how it appears with your response and providing that to Tech Support may alleviate the issue?

My standard way of replying to a message is to quote their previous message.

When I hit 'Reply' their message is automatically inserted into my reply as a big quote.

But if I simply start to type in the middle of their quote, my text will use the same font they
were using and will look the same as their text.

This would make it very difficult for the person I am replying to, to read the e-mail.

So I like to use a different font (and sometimes a different color as well).

The quick and easy way to accomplish this I learned, was to hit 'Enter' at the end of a line I wanted to quote.
This would break out of the quote and allow me to type in my desired font.

BUT.. today and many other times this method does not work!!!

Sometimes when I hit 'Enter' at the end of line quoted line, I can not break out of the quote !!

This causes me to do a lot of extra work!
Instead of The Bat automatically setting my default font and size, I must choose it from a dropdown list!

It takes a lot of extra steps.
How can I ALWAYS break out of quoted text to start typing in my default font/size?
