That sounds like Gmail. My solution was to not have those folders showing in TB!. Not elegant, but it works for me. Gmail never followed the general 'rules' for email, but I would be interested if anyone found a way to do this simply. Good luck.

When I receive a new message it appears in several IMAP folders like Inbox, All Mails, Important, etc.
Is it possible to setup the client in a way when I mark the message as read in Inbox it will be marked as read in the rest of folders?
