How to restore old files to make them work the new version of The Bat?

How to restore old files to make them work the new version of The Bat? in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
could be simple: copy them files back into the actual Mail Directory of TheBat! (see Options/Preferences/System -> Mail Directory) and then create a new mail account with exactly (!) the same name as you had before. AFAIK TheBat! should then find the file bases with no further fuss... (at least this was the way it worked with older versions)

I have a license for v. 2., and I´m testing v. 3.

I had to change of computer twice.

TB team told me that I had to backup my files, but I did not understand that I had to do it with the Backup/Restore tool.

I made a simple copy of my old hard drive that is in 2 CDs.

Could you guide me, please, to recover my files (messages, address book), and restore them to work in the new version of The Bat?

Many thanks
