Send/Receive of emails on my primary googlemail.com account works again, after rebooting the PC this morning.
(Side note: I boot up my Win10Pro PC every morning and keep it running for about 18 hours, then shut it down towards midnight.)

The last time I had such issues, I noted that looking at the account Properties (right-click on the account name in question), and then General -> Certificates... button (My certificate is apparently valid until 2118-05-13 (Expiry Date))... without changing anything under the Properties seemed to fix things. Not right away, since I continued to have the issue close to midnight yesterday... but after a reboot this morning.

There seems to be some strange issue with "my" properties in The Bat!... as if calling the properties windows refreshes e.g. certificate info for the "rest" of The Bat!... so that a reboot fixed The Bat! and that googlemail.com account again. Very strange.

Anyway:
  • - Thanks for the Tip with the support page... I did read all the points mentioned there. But everything seems to work now.
  • - One tip from the above support page: "Make sure your mail app isn't set to check for new email too frequently.  If your mail app checks for new messages more than once every 10  minutes, the app’s access to your account could be blocked."... this would explain if you fix something in The Bat!, i.e. open properties window, and close it again, that you cannot immediately check for the "fix", since there is a 10 minute waiting period, making things extra "laggy". And of course I did not wait when rechecking.
  • - gmail web interface access: I tested it this morning... login works fine.
Conclusion: Still have no clue why this happened... and that checking into the account properties in The Bat!, is just a guess. But this seems to fix things apparently.

Possibly related?: The battery on my 7-year-old PC's mainboard is getting weak, usually the PC boots fine, but 2-3 times (when it was cold in the room there past months, *not* yesterday) I had to F10 (save) in the BIOS to only then boot into Windows. Since the battery keeps the clock (and BIOS settings) "alive", could a time difference mess with certificates? Hmmm... my 2nd gmail.com account worked, so probably this was not the issue either.

============= On my primary googlemail.com account I also noted this error message while trying to send an email. Win10, The Bat! 10.3.3.3.


I rarely send out emails on this account, so I only noted the error just now. Before sending the email The Bat! asked for a password, since The Bat! should know the password, I knew something was off. Also entering the PW for my googlemail.com account did not work either.

On my 2nd googlemail.com account, thankfully, sending an email works just fine.

Any suggestions on what is going on again, and how to fix this would be appreciated.

Update: And only now noted that receiving emails also fails. ====code====

Seems like they changed something again, because 2 days ago or so I had to authenticate all my gmails account again and today had to gain access manually to less secure apps again by login to google from the web browser
