Yes, I was able to find some information and suggestions on this, but at least updating the graphics drivers didn't help.  I was wondering about some other possible contributing factors.  I use 6 monitors and three identical two-head graphics cards and I noticed the DirectX error only occurs if the TB editing window is on either of two of those monitors, but never on the other four.  Even when it is happening I can move the editing window to one of the other four monitors and it stops happening.  It also only happens with TB and never any of the other numerous applications I run regularly.  I don't remember ever encountering this issue with TB v9.3.4 or earlier.  Given the numerous "Access Violations" that seem much more prevalent in newer versions of TB (I'm currently using v10.1), I was just wondering if there might be something in the newer versions that would make it more vulnerable to DirectX errors than it used to be.  TB doesn't seem to be heavily graphics laden so it's just an off the wall idea :-)

I'm using Win10-64 with TB-64 v10.0.5 and the results are the same on two different computers, both containing totally new OS installs.  Very frequently when I an replying to or creating a new email, I get a popup every time I press a key that states "A resource is not available at the time of the call, but may become available later"  Sometimes it starts working again after a minute or so, but more often I just have to close the editor and start over.  I never had this problem with TB v9.3.4 and I can't use TB-64 v10.0.10 because it does not work properly when simultaneously running three instances of TB.
