Ok, in case anyone else has this problem, I finally found the solution:

Apparently the web server changed so that the login name now requires the full e-mail address where it previously only required the account name. Changing the authorization name to "me@myaccount.com" instead of just "me" appears to have solved the problem.

Over a year ago I started using The Bat and everything worked fine. I was able to send through my web host (i.e. my domain name) just fine. Within the past few months (don't remember exactly when but could be anywhere from 3 to 9 months ago) I started having problems sending e-mails through my web host. The error message given is "Could not connect to server".

The strange thing is that I CAN send e-mail through an earthlink login account. I have changed my important accounts to use that SMTP setting so I can send e-mail but wonder why it won't send through my domain account when it worked just fine on initial setup.
