Thanks Daniel, I just figured it out before I visited the site here now.  

All is back in order now.

I was looking in the general preferences. But I should have been looking
in the settings for the individual account that was causing the problem.

I don't know where I can change this setting?

When I reply to an e-mail in .html and start with
Dear Sir   etc.


it starts in a blue color!
How can I change this color to black?

Even if I change the color to black as I am typing,
the next paragraph will go back to blue!
