emails stored in folders (folder tree) just disappeared several thousand emails in two of my folders have disappeared. in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Another thing to try if the above fails (and of course after backing everything up): Menu item Folder -> Maintenance Center... turn on Check Integrity/Repair, turn everything else off, and click Start.
Weird.. I'd start by making a backup of the full mail folder.

I assume that you can restore the backup (.bck) fr om the Tools | Restore page, but I've never used that function myself. Elsewhere (<noindex>link</noindex>) I read an old message from a German TheBat forum, wh ere it says that you can also do this:

Exit The Bat
(first make a backup of the folder that you'll be working on/in)
Delete the faulty messages.tbb file (and the messages.tbi index file if it exists)
Rename the messages.bck file to messages.tbb
Relaunch The Bat and see if the messages are now visible.
Is there a way of getting them back. This has happened before. In file explorer I see the following:
MESSAGES.BCK;239,994 KB
MESSAGES.IBK;1,273 KB
MESSAGES.TBB;144 KB
MESSAGES.TBN;38 KB
part0001.bin;163 KB
v10.4.0.1
