Ouch. Yes, it can happen sometimes, I had it once. There are posts on this forum on the topic.

At least in principle, the "Users" folder is used when the installation is set to current user only, "Program Files" when the program should be available for all users. I recommend "Program Files".

I always run TB fr om a pin I manually create in the Task Bar, making sure it points to the correct .exe file. (In my case for some reason it is never TBLauncher64.exe, but rather "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\TheBat64.exe".) I suggest you create such a pin first and test that it works.

Then, if you don't already know, figure out wh ere your mail directory is, from the TB version you want to continue using: Options -> Preferences -> System. This folder should be preserved.

Having the above in mind, it should be safe to manually delete all unwanted versions of TB if the uninstaller doesn't work (delete the whole "The Bat!" folders). To be on the safe side, instead of deleting you can move the folder(s) to another location.

For future updates, I recommend always using the TB "nau" installer, never the automatic update. Point it to the correct installation folder, and manually recreate the Task Bar pin afterwards.
Hi,

i had a v9, then installed v11 in parallel. After some time trying it, i bought a key for the new one and installed the latest version.
I removed the v9 via Windows.

But still, when i start Windows, the startup loads an older version of The Bat! ( v11.0.4.1) instead of the latest one. (v11.2.2)
I have to close the older one and manually start the newer.

The v11.2.2 has the following link: "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\TBLauncher64.exe"
The v.11.0.4.1 in the startup menu: "C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\The Bat!\Main\11.0.4.1\64\TheBat64.exe"

In the Windows Application list i see only this: "The Bat! v.11.0.3.2 (64 bit)"

It's a total mess!

How can i solve that?
Or how can i change at least the startup menu to start the latest version?

Thx!
