It's probably on by default because Windows 11 is a privacy-infringing money-grabbing disaster, and the devs simply didn't pay attention. For TB I would bet my right arm it's safe to leave it on. It's not like TB is going to serve you ads or anything.

Why does the Bat! want access to my location? In Windows 11 I see under Settings>Privacy and security>Location that the Bat! as a desktop app has access to my location. I can revoke the permission but then that happens for all desktop apps (Windows 11 problem).
