when i'm viewing an account's folder, say Inbox, and my cursor has an email highlighted and i use the up/down arrow key to move through the list, often times there is a pause on some emails highlighted, pressing the up/down arrow key has no effect. the app, for a second or two+ is unresponsive. then the cursor, highlighted email, moves up or down by which ever key i had been pressing catching up to how many times i had pressed the up/down key.

it is like emails with links in them or something are trying to be resolved and the cursor/highlight doesn't move for a short time?

Or run TB with the /ForceNoCEF command-line option. The alternative HTML viewer will be used which is faster. However, some TB functionality will not be available: the conversation view (use the classic preview pane instead), the new address book interface (use the old one), calendar (just don't use it), and I think viewing office documents as well.

EDIT: In any case, what you may be experiencing is CEF processes hanging, causing delays in viewing messages. When TB is closed, these threads stay in memory and need to be forcefully ended. This is especially prominent in v11.4.1, I advise rolling back to v11.3 or v11.4. It can still happen in these versions, but MUCH more rarely.

Last version v.11.4.1 closes TB! with this and can't re-open even if you restart PC. Known bug. (one of the reasons that I use it now v.11-4-0)
Support says don't use it "single process" now because of it.

when i highlight emails to delete and scroll through them, it seems like any links, etc, in the emails,  thebat is attempting to resolve.  cold be wrong about that "resolve' but nevertheless the highlight gets paused for a bit then i can continue.


is there an option in preferences to tick/untick that will eliminate this behavior?
