I have not experienced this since I don't run multiple instances of TB simultaneously.

I suspect the culprit is the new major version of CEF used in v11.4.2.1. You could try running at least one TB instance where CEF is limited to one process (Preferences... -> General). Another option would be to disable CEF with the /ForceNoCEF command-line flag. Both of these come with functional limitations.

Also, the 32-bit version of TB seems to use a 32-bit version of CEF, maybe it behaves better.
I've already reported this, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like it. I sometimes run three concurrent instances of TB by using "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\TheBat64.exe" followed by one of the three sets of arguments below in my three shortcuts. The first one is the one that gets opened by default whenever I click on an email address anywhere in text or a web page, and that is intentional:

/NoDirectX /NOLOGO
/NoDirectX /reg:AsgChecker /NOLOGO
/NoDirectX /reg:School /NOLOGO

This has always worked without any problems in all versions of TB I've ever used, which has been v7-v10. However, I recently installed v11.4.2.1 (64 bit). When I open the /reg:AsgChecker instance, it works fine for several minutes, but it eventually automatically closes and the default instance above automatically opens. As a test, I've restarted the PC and done nothing other than log on, start only the /reg:AsgChecker instance, and sit and wait, never touching the keyboard or mouse after that. I haven't tried it using the /reg:School instance instead of the /reg:AsgChecker instance or any other combinations. I was wondering if there's some new setting in v11 that might need to be changed, or if it's really a bug.

In previous versions of TB, through several PC hardware iterations and clean Win10 installs, every few days or so when I close TB, it automatically reopens a few seconds later, so maybe that's related?
