Maintenance Centre stuck in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hi Daniel,

Thank you for putting me on the right path.

I tried the way you suggested, but eventually, I decided to go through the accounts one by one, and found out the culprit was the 4th one. So it didn't take that long. The reason behind the process not going until the end wasn't coming from a folder issue; it was an IMAP account that didn't exist anymore. As the website and business behind it are gone, and the information that was there wasn't of interest, I just deleted the account altogether. And now the process goes through all 492 folders just fine.

Again, Daniel, thank you for taking the time to read my post and answer it.
Finding out which it is and fixing the problem shouldn't take long.. maybe 10 minutes. Just run a Compact job on the first 25 accounts. If that works, the problem is in the other 25 accounts. From those, Compact the first 12. If that works, the error is in one of the other 13. So, then you try 6 accounts (of those 13), then 3, etc until you have the culprit.

Within that ' bad' account you can identify the troublesome folder in a similar fashion. When you have it, maybe you can move its messages into a new folder and see if that will compact without throwing any errors. If that's the case, delete the old folder and rename the new folder to the old name.

p.s. Since 'Compact' deals with deleted messages, the ' Folder | Browse Deleted Messages' command may come in handy if you want to see if there's anything strange about the deleted messages in the troublesome folder.
1) I tried compacting or removing a single folder, and it went through fine. Nailing down which one has an issue will be tricky: I have about 50 mail accounts

2) Running v 10.5.4 64-bit

3) Storage on a local SSD drive

4) I tried right after booting up my machine this morning and got the same sound when the process stops.
Does that also happen when you run either Compact or Remove Duplicates on just a single small folder?

Which version of The Bat and on what sort of drive is your message base (aka Mail Folder) stored - local, network or external?
Does this also happen if you run The Bat immediately after a reboot?
Hi,

When running fr om the Maintenance Centre either the "Compact" or "Remove Duplicates" process, something happens, I hear a sound, and it never completes the process; I have to click the "Stop" button. Running "Check Integrity/Repair" goes to the end without a problem.

Wh ere should I go to see if there is an error? I looked into the Events Viewer and didn't find anything.
