First copy the account folders: every account has it own folder named like the account. Then, start TB, and if the accounts are not recognized do a create account, select "From Folder" (or something to that effect, I forgot the details), and point it to the copied folder. Repeat for each account, and that should be that.
Thank you guys, when doing it via the caveman way , I suppose I need to create the two relevant email accounts first in Win11 on the new pc and then copy the folders. Which folders or files in detail would have to be copied?
Very handy in the olden days when Windows would decide to die and need a reinstall.

====quote====
Tom Michael wrote:
What is the process to transfer the license fr om my old pc to the new pc
=============

Nothing special as far as I know, just enter the license key on the new installation. More recently I would simply clone my entire drive when migrating, that works, too, as far as TB goes.

====quote====
Tom Michael wrote:
and secondly what is the best process to install the program with two email accounts already set up and existing data being accessible (the other email accounts are not needed). Personally, I do it the "caveman" way by simply copying the folders just because it's faster (my message base is 30GB). Either way, there should be no issues with paths.
It's time for a transfer of my files to a new PC and hope to get some guidance to avoid any mistakes:

I am running the Version 11 - currently on Windows 10 using about 12 email accounts and the mail directory is linked to my C:Drive\AppData\Local\TheBat!\ I have set up a new PC on Windows 11 and want to run The Bat! though with only 2 email accounts and ideally the data should be saved on an external drive to keep my OS drive small. What is the process to transfer the license from my old pc to the new pc and secondly what is the best process to install the program with two email accounts already set up and existing data being accessible (the other email accounts are not needed). I can still run the backup programs to generate a tbk file but not sure if this will cause issues when the path for saving is different on my new set up than before. In the past I also did copy / paste of some folders but don't remember the actual sequence or folder structure I needed.

Thanks for any help.
