I noticed this a couple of versions ago, both for the account tree and message list.

Options -> Preferences -> Other options -> Use denser display of items for folder and message lists

Roughly, what used to be "denser" is now "sparser", and the new "denser" is even more dense.

I allowed The Bat! to update to 12.1 today (will I ever learn?) and now I find the message list is cramped. The list of accounts at the left is fine.

No, a bigger font size doesn't help, neither does changing the font.

Is there any setting to increase the row height?
